American Speedway Racers
O.K., this isn't an American car; it's a Maserati. But...it is painted up
in true American Speedway style (which is what were looking at on this page),
and it did win the Indy 500 in 1939, so I suppose it has a right to be on
a page of American racers!
Another Indy winner, this time 1951: the Belanger Special.
The Bellanger Special again.
An early '30's sprint car. Not quite representative of the shape of the
retro-monoposto American Speedway Special, but an interesting example of
what sort of color-schemes can be pulled off without stretching good taste
too far (well, maybe a little too far).
